At a time of rising deficits and body counts, Americans cannot afford waste during wartime. We need to focus our taxdollars on protecting our country from terrorism and our troops from harm.
Yet the Bush administration has asked for $200 million to fund the Kinetic Energy Interceptor, a new missile-defense program that even some hawks say “defies logic.” We cannot afford to waste this money on a pie-in-the-sky neocon fantasy while our troops need body armor, our veterans need health care, and our ports need protection.
Waste During Wartime needs your help. We don’t want your money. We just want your conscience. Tell the Armed Services Committee to kill KEI and put our money where it will matter.
