** Dahr Jamail's Iraq Dispatches **

Many people have contacted me asking how they can help to ease the
suffering of the Iraqi people. I would like to pass on information about
an NGO that has been one of the only international groups who have
successfully delivered aid into combat afflicted areas in Iraq such as
Fallujah and Samarra. Here is their information, and I strongly urge you
to assist them.
International Peace Angels
http://internationalpeaceangels.org/
About Us:
The primary purpose of/ * International Peace Angels (IPA)*/ is to
provide humanitarian and medical aid, and educational and life training
resources, to children and women who are at risk of social and economic
disorders internationally, and strive to provide them with the resources
they need to live healthy and productive lives.
Goals:
The specific goals of /*IPA*/ are:
* To improve health, culture and socioeconomic conditions, fight
disease, and reduce poverty among international refugees by
working with communities and organizations nationally and
internationally.
*
To increase public awareness of the conditions of children and
women in need internationally.
*
To identify the specific needs of children and women at risk of social
and economic disorders internationally, e.g., clothing, medicine,
shelter, education, educational supplies, etc., and facilitate the
delivery and implementation of such aid.
Relief Efforts:
/*IPA*/ is delivering humanitarian aid and medical supplies to the
children and women in need in conflict areas inside Iraq. Working with
Iraqi doctors, healthcare workers, and volunteers, /*IPA*/ facilitates
aid deliveries to the people and the places where it is needed the most.
Relief Methods:
To facilitate effective aid deliveries, /*IPA*/ relief effort inside
Iraq is managed by Iraqi citizens.
IPA works with Iraqi doctors and other medical personnel to continually
update a detailed data list from the hospitals and field medical clinics
in combat areas. This method ensures that the most critical aid is
supplied to the places and people most in need. Aid requirements may
include clothing, shelter, food, heaters, water purification kits and
all other basic humanitarian needs.
>From our data collection efforts /*IPA*/ provide the international
community a comprehensive list of all aid requirements and serves to
facilitate the collection and delivery of that aid.
