Saddam trial 'within two months'

Iraq's president Jalal Talabani has said he expected the trial of Saddam Hussein for alleged crimes against humanity will begin within two months.

When asked by the television network CNN when the deposed leader's trial would start, Mr Talabani said: "I hope within two months".

The former leader is being held by US troops at a secret location in Iraq as he awaits trial.

A special tribunal, set up in 2003, has been amassing evidence against him.

I would bet his Laywers are amassing plenty of evidence also
