U.S and Iraqi forces are battling a Sunni Arab insurgency against the Shiite and Kurdish led government. BAGHDAD - Six people were killed and 25 injured when a suicide bomber attacked an army recruitment centre at al-Muthana airport in western Baghdad, a source at Yarmouk Hospital said. BAIJI - An oil pipeline that connects Baiji, 180 km (112 miles) north of Baghdad, with the capital was attacked by insurgents. *BASRA - Vice president of Basra municipality was shot dead by gunmen in the city 550 km (340 miles) southeast of Baghdad.
