Grieving Relatives Attend Special Service for Victims of Venezuela Plane Crash

Grieving relatives of the 152 French tourists killed in a plane crash in western Venezuela have held a special service there for their loved ones and unveiled a memorial to the victims.

The service took place Saturday in Maracaibo after the second of two special flights arrived in Venezuela, carrying officials and victims' relatives from the French Caribbean island of Martinique.

Eight Colombian crew members were also killed in the crash of the Colombian plane belonging to West Caribbean Airways.

Officials say few victims have been identified because the corpses are not intact.

Investigators are looking into what caused the crash. The Colombian pilot had radioed authorities shortly before the crash, saying both engines failed.

French authorities are leading a separate probe to determine whether anyone bears legal blame for the crash.
