53 die as terrorists hit Jordan

AT least 53 people have been killed in suspected suicide attacks against three hotels in the Jordanian capital Amman, the first strikes of such deadly magnitude to hit the kingdom.

Deputy Prime Marwan Moasher said on state television that at least 53 people were killed in the late evening attacks on one of the closest US allies in the Middle East.

Suicide bombers apparently targeted the luxury Radisson SAS and Grand Hyatt hotels, usually packed with foreigners, and the Days Inn hotel.

A bomb exploded at the entrance of the Grand Hyatt killing at least 10 people, security sources said. >>>>cont
