The rise of Islamophobia among western societies has to a great extent everything to do with the biased media stance against Muslims
The new holocaust
"I am afraid we have not learned from our history. My main fear is that what we did to Jews we may now do to Muslims. The next holocaust would be against Muslims".

The problem is that the Muslim world has not modernized and enlightened themselves like the Western societies did, especially in regards to sexism and women's rights.
However, even in the Christian civilizations, the United States isn't much better, particularly in the South.
The real problem is not a particular ideology or religion, but ALL patriarchal religions.
