-- Forty-four bodies recovered so far from a ferry that sank in the Persian Gulf off Bahrain, interior minister tells AP.

A passenger ferry carrying about 150 people, including an unknown number of international tourists, sank off the coast of Bahrain on Thursday, a senior Bahraini official said.
Bahrain's interior minister told CNN 44 bodies have been recovered so far. Divers, boats and a helicopter from the U.S. Navy are assisting with rescue efforts, Navy officials said
