Hey forsakenbysunra, welcome to Rebelle. I am so glad your friend is on his way home tomorrow, and hopefully has a new and happy life mapped out for him in the future with his fiancee, 11 months is such a short time in the scheme of things, hopefully this war will be over before he would ever have to return to such hell on earth.
I believe that we can never think that our loved ones could be so corrupted by the evil that resides in the White House. All you can do is to be there for him, to listen if he ever wants to talk. I also hope that his psyche and humanity are intact, it is imperative starting out in his new life together with his fiancee.
