There is no respect for McCain Christy, he does not deserve it.
I understand that John McCain, was a Hero in his time Christy, and that should never be forgotten, But that was yesterday another time another century really in our lives.
I feel he let your country down more Christy in its time of need, because he was not there for the checks and balances of what these monsters have commited in the name of the American People.
It was his responsibility because of his service so long ago, because the people put their trust in him to be that checks and balance in Congress, He had that power, the Democrat had no power what so ever not having a majority in the House or the Senate, to me that is a worse crime because he did not use that power that the people gave him, he was only thinking of his own political career.
Whoever resides in the White House leads the Free World Christy, so nearly all decisions that are made by your White House affect our world, Sadly one of the men that should have been there to be the checks and balance of their corruption, was and has been for a very long time complicit in every monstrous deed they have committed.
So I give this man no respect at all, in my mind he does not deserve that respect, that respect is for the person or persons to lead the world with Courage, Honesty and Dignity, God I only hope that there is a person of that stature in America today, or we are all doomed because of the criminal actions of the Thugs Goons that reside in the White House today.

Rossi, I do not respect the man, I respect the symbolisim of him.
See, this is where it is void for you because as I said you have no nationalistic investment in our particular symbols. I share your anger, but the larger sybolic meaning of him I fully admit MUST cloud my judgement.
Yes, McCain was a different man a long time ago. But in the same way our Founding Fathers were heros it is also correct to lable them genocidal, racist, thieving elitists.
Both are true, but for my nation one image eclipses the other.
In the TRUE busheviks, none of them have this inner conflict. There is no good in the evil it is just evil and ALWAYS WAS devoid of good.
Both Colin Powell and John McCain abetted this evil, but the conflict is apparent in both men. No matter what day it is, both examples of them are true.
Men like McCain are harder to understand than is bush and cronies. Bush never had courage, to see he lacks it now is simply a matter of the evolution of nothing.
McCain however did at one time embody one side over the other, it made him hero to my people. I can not just cast off that image as I watch him grovel.
As I said, it is not really about McCain, our differece. I have no qualms in saying i hate what he has done. I have no argument with him taking the blame.
But at the same time I am forced to remember that what I am looking at is not JUST a fearful handmadien to the devil, but a fallen hero. I can not dismiss the symbolisim of it unless I am ready to completely also deny all other American heros their status for personal and even evil personal choices.
Like Charles Lindenburg. He was a Great American Hero. But he was ALSO a rabid and vicious anti semite.
The symbolisim of McCain was really more of an metaphore in the article. He was an example of how basically nothing, not even heros, are above the...rotting, that spirals out from this administration.
