A midlevel manager at the Homeland Security Department faced immigration document fraud charges Thursday in federal court.
Robert T. Schofield, a district office supervisor for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, was arrested Thursday in Fairfax, Va. He appeared in U.S. District Court in Alexandria, Va., with an alleged coconspirator, Qiming Ye, who was charged with passport, identification and visa fraud charges.
