While the U.S. plays the supporting role (albeit one without the entire effort would stop) in Israel's air assault on Lebanon, in Iraq its direct air war, the one which has caused me for more than a year to label the "exit strategy" a "sham," continues. See if you can notice the euphemisms in this article: Iraqi forces backed by a U.S. helicopter battled Sunni gunmen south of Baghdad on Friday, and at least 11 combatants died. U.S. troops killed five Iraqis -- including two women and a child -- in a separate exchange of fire. Let's stick with the second part. Two women and a child died in an "exchange of fire" with U.S. troops, did they?...
