Abramoff's restaurant attracted Opus Dei members: no word if his customers included any albino priests.
Aug. 1, 2006 -- "Casino Jack" Abramoff attracted one unusual set of customers to his former restaurant, "Signatures." Among the interests who gathered there to lobby and socialize was the Opus Dei, the secretive Catholic cult that counts such members as Sen. Sam Brownback of Kansas, Associate Justice Antonin Scalia, and former FBI Director Louis Freeh, Jr. While Opus Dei members or "supernumeraries" are secret, that apparently did not stop the organization from inviting its A-List members to Abramoff's restaurant to take advantage of the establishment's well-known deal-making services.
