Senate Repugs, for all their tough talk, decide not to endorse torture, but won’t prevent it either.

Bush’s pet spook Michael “4th Amendment” Hayden is thrilled. And Chimpy is already wiggling out of one of his biggest “compromises”.

Note that this is not a done deal…what they did yesterday was simply end the “public” feud so they do the rest behind the scenes.

Speaking of torture, in Iraq it looks like it’s worse now than it ever was under Saddam. Gee…let’s see if Bush feels he still has the moral authority to speak out about it. Grrrr!
