Iraq will need US and international forces on the ground until national security forces are prepared to fight and local governments have been elected around the country, Iraqi national security advisor Mowaffak Al-Rubaie said in an interview.

"The multinational forces, the coalition forces will be needed in Iraq, for the logistical support, to overwatch the requirement," said Al-Rubaie in an interview with CNN.
