Federal judges, like Congressmen, federal agency heads and even US presidents, sometimes take actions believed by other government officials, the public and the press to be outrageous, unethical or even criminal. Close scrutiny of the federal judicial disciplinary system nationwide reveals that in about 99 percent of all misconduct complaints in the past six years, judges received no punishment at all.
