CNN's Nancy Grace Sued For “Wrongful Death” Of Woman Who Committed Suicide After Aggressive Questioning...

Nancy Grace and CNN were sued today by the estate and family of Melinda Duckett, the mother of missing toddler Trenton Duckett who committed suicide after being aggressively questioned by Grace on her Headline News show. The family's complaint alleges that "intentional infliction of emotional distress" and misrepresentation, alleging that Grace enticed Duckett on to the show as a means of helping to find the boy and drawing attention to the case, and then "harassing and intimidating an anguished and severely mentally distressed mother" under completely false pretenses. The complaint also alleges that Grace and her co-workers misrepresented their purpose to Duckett's attorney. the complaint also alleges intentional infliction of emotional distress on Duckett's family in the airing of the tape after Duckett's death without the consent of the family or estate, "in order to improve their ratings and for the prospective monetary gain of Defendant NANCY GRACE and Defendant CNN in malicious and contumacious disregard to inflicting severe emotional distress and damage" on the Plaintiffs.
