"Nobody will cry over Saddam’s death" is a commonly-heard statement in the U.S. The people believe this. The reality is different. Millions of people are still mourning and attending services in his honor. These are just not the few "dead-enders" of whom Bush spoke. They are people from many nations: Britain, India, Pakistan, Egypt, Jordan, Brazil, the U.S., Canada. Australia, Belgium, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, etc., etc., etc. Even Gadhaffi, once an opponent of Saddam, will have a statue of him erected in Libya.(...) On July 26, 2005, nearly two years ago, I wrote an article addressed to the stooge Iraqi government. In it, I predicted the expansion of the Iraqi resistance if Saddam Hussein was hanged. At the time, they, and the U.S. administration, predicted the demise of the resistance. I’ll leave it up to the reader to conclude who was right...
