Eight dead in 'friendly fire' incident

5.13am (AEDT) EIGHT Kurdish Peshmerga soldiers were killed and six others wounded in northern Iraq overnight after US choppers opened fire on them in what appeared to be a "friendly fire" incident, Kurdish officials said.
