Former Army Lieutenant Colonel Bruce D. Hopfengardner was sentenced to nearly two years in prison yesterday for helping steer millions of dollars in Iraq-reconstruction funds to a fraudulent contractor in exchange for jewelry, computers, cigars, sexual favors and a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Lt. Col. Bruce D. Hopfengardner, 46, of Fredericksburg, Va., pleaded guilty last year to conspiracy to commit money laundering and wire fraud.
