Bush sings cover of Green Green Grass of Home to the Gridiron Club

Silenced Majority Portal
The reporters who attended the invitation only dinner laughed throughout Bush's song which makes fun of people dying in New Orleans, and many of the other failures and abuses during his time in office.
It's a sad to see this moron's insensitivity and the complicity of the press.
Here is what 'g' had to say on the NY Times blog:
I think his aides that helped him craft his parody were probably too young to be familiar with the original version of “The Green Green Grass of Home” to know that it’s a song about a condemned man on death row just before his execution. He dreams of his home and awakes to be escorted to the death chamber, and sings of how they’ll bury him beneath the green green grass of home.So I find it amusingly appropriate that Bush sings of awakening after his dream to find Condi and Dick with him - they all belong in prison.Could Bush and his handlers really be so clueless, so lacking in a sense of irony as to have missed this imagery associated with this song? Or did some clever event planner pull another Stephen Colbert on him?
