Palin: Not Ready On Day One. Or Day Two. Or Day Three...

Did'nt you know she going to study her next lot of lines for the debate, that Georgies Gang and Lieberman are going to brainwash her with

From Marc Ambinder, we learn that Palin won't be taking questions from the press yet:

A senior McCain campaign official advises that, despite the gaggle of requests and pressure from the media, Gov. Sarah Palin won't submit to a formal interview anytime soon. She may take some questions from local news entities in Alaska, but until she's ready -- and until she's comfortable -- which might not be for a long while -- the media will have to wait. The campaign believes it can effectively deal with the media's complaints, and their on-the-record response to all this will be: "Sarah Palin needs to spend time with the voters."

What's going on right now is that Palin's being shipped back to Alaska so that she can study up on what foreign policy opinions she might like to have, learn the official McCain lines on Iraq (you know, that place her son is going), and deal harshly with any remaining small town librarians that might stand in her way.

So Sarah Palin will, according to McCain, be ready to take over the Presidency at a moment's notice, and can go toe to toe with Putin whenever the need arise -- but she's not quite ready to take on the horror of, say, The View. Don't you worry, though -- she'll be ready on day two.

Well, not really, but probably day three or four. Two weeks, tops. OK, tell you what, we'll just get back to you on that, OK? I mean what with the eBay sales, and moose burgers, and the pile of librarian corpses in the backyard, it's a heck of a mess up here right now...
