FORMER Guantanamo Bay inmate David Hicks marries in secret ceremony
FORMER Guantanamo Bay inmate David Hicks has married girlfriend Aloysia Brooks in a secretive ceremony north of Sydney on Saturday night.
Father Terry Hicks, who travelled from Adelaide for the event, said he was pleased his son was now living a normal life after years of imprisonment.
"We are grateful that things are going along an even line and he can get on and hopefully be left alone,'' Mr Hicks told The Advertiser.
"They're going to enjoy themselves and get on with their lives, and that's what it's about.''
The marriage follows 12 months of courtship after the pair met in Sydney last year.
Hicks' former military defence lawyer Major Michael Mori was seen in attendance at the event in Terrey Hills, about 30km north of Sydney. LinkHere
