Palestinians rejoice at Israeli exit

FOLLOWING on the heels of Israeli forces withdrawing from the Gaza Strip, exultant Palestinians set fire to abandoned synagogues early yesterday and raised Palestinian and Islamic flags on the ruins of settlements that had been razed by Israel.
