Christy A message from Kev
I know that you have no time to read, so, tell Christy to get a friend ( or herself ) to go to the Library and get hold of "The Tyrannicide Brief" by Geoffrey Robertson. Yep ! The bloke who does the 'Hypotheticals'.
It is the story of The Barrister who received the brief to prepare indictment of Charles the First. Around 1648 or so. The brief establishes some principles which are in force today, but, generally, it deals with the Prosecution of the King for His wanting unbridled power, and for his "non-protection' of his subjects. A topic not really out of the American news at the moment.
It addresses the questions being raised to Aloisi, and also shows the way to deal with trials of the likes of Pinochet, Milosevic and, funnily enough, Saddam. Saddam's antics are just like to those of Charles1. Strangely enough, Saddam is half right - he should be being tried in the Hague, alongside Milosevic, but Bubba has stuffed that one up too.
When will they ever learn ?
