When some of the country's top political handicappers drew up their charts of vulnerable House incumbents at the beginning of this year, Rep. Thelma D. Drake (R-Va.) was not among them. Now she is.

President Bush carried her district with 58 percent of the vote in 2004, but strategists say his travails are part of the reason the freshman lawmaker now has a fight on her hands. He swooped into town briefly Friday for a closed-door fundraiser for Drake but made no public appearances.

This whole story is based on a false premise -- that elections in the U.S. are honest. But because so much voting is done on Diebold machines and their ilk, the votes that go in are not necessarily the totals that come out. Plus, erasing dissident voters' names from the polling rolls, failing to deliver enough voting machines to disloyal precincts and other electoral tricks means there is no democracy in the U.S. Wake up and smell the fascism, people! You think these bastards are going to give up power? Especially when that will mean that their crimes might finally be investigated. The U.S. is doomed. I'm so glad I got out in time...

Welcome Bukko

Hopefully this time, hopefully the people are coming out of their slumber, and will get out in force and vote. I know I worry what they will do next, these deviates that roam the Peoples White House, I know they can't afford to let the Democrats in with all they have to hide, but I choose to hope one more time.
