There's been a lot of cyber-ink spilled over the question of reputable sourcing. It's an important topic. So I feel bound to state my sources up front, because I'm making some ties here that some might find a bit... well... conspiratorial sounding (though I claim no conspiracies here).

In looking at how the William Jefferson bribery scandal is related to Halliburton-Dick Cheney shenanigans involving millions of dollars in bribes to Nigerian government officials (and god knows who else), I realize the whole thing might sound outlandish.
