Rumsfeld I looked in his eyes and saw the soul of a friend, who would do our killing for us.
Sadam I looked in his eyes and saw plenty of of WMDs coming my way.

Better the day - better the deed...

As the former close pal of the 1980-1988 Reagan/Bush administration (during which period Saddam Hussein slaughtered vast numbers of his citizens - without any complaint by his conservative American buddies) is sentenced to death - all the more reason to remind ourselves how sad this day also is for Saddam's good pal Donald Rumsfeld.

After all Rummy was the Special Envoy selected by Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush to go to Baghdad on December 20th 1983 to end a diplomatic embargo that had been in place since 1967,

The declassified documents of that encounter are enlightening.
