Democratic lawmakers are eager to hear from outed CIA operative Valerie Plame as they try to make political fodder out of the 2003 leak scandal.
Plame was scheduled to testify before a congressional committee Friday, but it was unlikely the hearing would offer any new information about the Bush administration's discussions of her employment at the spy agency.

Valerie Plame Wilson, the CIA operative whose outing triggered a federal investigation, told a Congress committee on Friday that Bush administration officials "should have been diligent" in protecting her identity.
Plame Wilson, speaking publicly about the case for the first time since her identity was revealed in 2003, said senior officials at the White House and State Department had "carelessly and recklessly" blown her cover.
