Was the killer a 62 year old anthrax expert named Bruce Ivans? Did he do the killings and then kill himself?
The professor who helped prosecute the Unabomber said back in 2002 that the real anthrax killer was trying to implicate two former US Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases scientists who had left the lab under unhappy circumstances. We know who those two USAMRIID scientists were: Bruce Ivans and Steven Hatfill.
Bruce Ivans is dead and Steven Hatfill was just paid millions in damages by the US Government who hounded him, smeared him and fed accusatory information to the media, who to this day have never revealed their sources.

Steven Hatfill was accused and hounded by FBI and MEDIA of being one of those two former USAMRIID scientists. He was innocent.
Just a few weeks ago on June 28th 2008 The US Government was finally force to pay him damages.
