There's a lot of anger and alienation from the government who is supposed to care about the rights and needs of it's citizens. However, anger and frustration are not enough to bring about a change. Without a focused plan and a cohesive effort there will never be a change. Singly we are disenfranchised and weak; together we are a mighty force for change. Don't waste your time getting angry over the injustices and the underhanded dealings of the politicians..Get them out of office and let them know in no uncertain terms that the average citizen is sick and tired of getting the short end of the stick. The majority no longer rules in this country. Most Americans are for prayer in schools so why can they not pray to whatever diety they choose to? Freedom from state run religion is not the same as no belief system at all. What is wrong with politicians or the average citizen feeling that they are obligated to do the right thing by a higher source? But it's not going to change as long as people stew in silence and piss and moan about the injustices. The constitution is a marvelous thing when you strip off the "interpre-tations" that have been passed off as fact for so long.
The founding fathers knew they didn't know all the possible scenarios that would come up so they built in provisions for change. If they made a mistake later on(like prohibition) they had the means to take it back. Don't sit back and be disgruntled. Join with those around you and those whose voices have been ignored to change the face of government. Raise your voices and be heard...if they don't listen then get louder and louder until you cannot be ignored any more. I personally don't think George Bush or any other politician is the "Devil". But I do think they have been a part of this system and taken for granted that the American people will gripe and then roll over and play dead that they do as they please and expect you to like it. Take personal responsibility for your actions and join others who are trying to be heard. We do not all have to agree, we just have to respect the rights of others to disagree. A country built on the rights of all must bow to the will of the majority of it's citizens or it no longer is a valid representative. I may not agree with all you say but I will give my life to give you the right to say it.

First off welcome whomever you may be.
Secondly getting them out of office ISSS my objective...However we cannot get them out of office if NO ONE is able to get a comprehensive account of thier CRIMES...
And thirdly and MOST IMPORTANTLY I THINK...I am very weary of being told NOT to be pissed off. We are about to promote a torturer as our Attorney Genral and NOW is not the time to be timid in opposing what we KNOW is IMMORAL, CRIMINAL and just flat out WRONG.

How people can NOT be mad as hell about it is beyond me. We can agree to disagree darlin but my anger is well deserved and well in control even if my guts stay constantly twisted.

WHEN will it be time to be angry and it not be considered somehow sinful... And I have no problem with ANYONE seeking higher council for I myself am a believer. HOWEVER...if ANYONE tells me they have a MANDATE from God I dont care who they are they need to be stopped as anyone believing they could possibly KNOW the mind of God is either dillusional, in denial..or being deceptive....it is very well possible bush is ALL 3

Hating gays because thier gay is not the same thing as a rightous anger.
The anger gripping this country will kill us all and bush would probably think its funny..i know the electrode certainly would.

I am truely glad you have no anger. But please do not try to make mine seem baseless OR useless as it was ANGER that for the first time in my life politicaly activated me to DO SOMETHING, ANYTHING! I was looking at the picture of a dead two month old Iraqi baby when that anger moved me to say no more. The picture of the starving baby is what brought that anger to a rolling boil. That babys face is on this site..Scroll down.

Whatever it was that caused it..it is taking a stand and saying NO MORE that is the true need...Even if people SCREAM IT ...atleast they are saying it.

Oh and PS

I am a believer in 'interpreting' the US Constitution by not trying to 'imply intent'..I think its a beautiful document and its sad people dont understand it needs nothing more than what was already written there so long ago...the system of amendments ensured once that the law would be flexible enough to remain just even in forward moving diverse populations. All that will change and very soon. Thats the exact reason bush nominated the electrode again.

I never said anger was not justified or even necessary at times. I only said that anger alone isn't enough to change anything. People can see something on TV or in print that outrages them for a little while and then tuck the kids in bed and get on with their lives. What it takes for change is that one gut-wrenching moment when you finally realize that evil has touched your life and you will never be the same. It's called apathy but it's really only fear. If you never do anything then you are never accountable for anything. And I don't think anyone ever had a "mandate", what ever that means to a politician. Power is corrupting and if you go into it corrupt already then you can bypass morality and go straight on to hell itself; which is where a great many of these fools seem to have sprung from. Think of the parents who willingly brought their children to that child molester because it was a chance to get near FAME and POWER. How much more sucking up will people do to the "leader" of the free world? Kinda boggles the mind.

This is not anger alone.
It is Anger personafied.
You are right about evil touching peoples life but I have never been apathetic about politics and never intended to change the world with a bitch fit.
You are wrong about the 'mandate' thing...Bush himself said he was given a mandate even though more people voted AGAINST him then ever. Bush was careful though..he dont say the mandate came from God openly but he damn sure implys it. That is a VERY disturbing aspect of greed that I dont think our country has quite ever experienced before. Greed we have seen but the rise of nazis is as terrifying now as it must have been in germany more than half a century ago.
And as far as those people who took thier kids to that freak...Man as a mother of five I really cannot even begin to understand it.

Perhaps power corrupts, but on the same note the attainment of power for some can be a road to salvation for many. Power does cause drunkeness I agree but not ALWAYS. I may be a madwoman but I am still secretly hopeful that power among The People is still attainable.
